One of the hardest things for artists, writers, maybe philosophers and other such people is the balance between the real world and the world of our own making. When you invest considerable time, energy, and your heart into something it is easy to be absorbed into it as the world gets bigger and bigger and bigger, feeding on itself. It's comparable to scuba-diving. The human body is simply not designed to be underwater regardless of how much oxygen you have. Eventually you have to return to where you belong in the real world.
